Apparatus for absorbing water from wet surfaces such as tennis courts and roadways comprises a resilient water-absorbing, cylindrical body 10 rotatably mounted on a shaft 12 supported in bearing sleeves 13, 14 to which are attached arms 19,20, end discs 24,25 located between the sleeves and the ends of the cylindrical body, and a pair of wheels 28 mounted on shaft 27 attached to arm 20. In use, water is collected by rolling the cylindrical body over the wet surface, and removed therefrom, after tilting the apparatus so that the wheels are grounded, by axially squeezing the cylindrical body by bringing handles 22, 23 together. <IMAGE> |
