A process for metering a pourable preparation on a restricted flat substrate is distinguished in that one of the outer surfaces of the substrate is brought into contact with a metering head containing the preparation perpendicularly to the plane of the substrate so that entire periphery of the substrate is surrounded by the metering head, whereupon a predetermined volume of the preparation is inserted into the substrate with the application of pressure.
