The stick is telescopically length-adjustable via an adjusting device (20). This is integrated in the stick tube. The lower tube section (11) is telescopically moved into the upper section (12). The two are fastened to each other via an expander unit (26). The unit is located in the upper section, and has two or more clamp jaws (28), which are pressed against the inner wall of that section. The expander unit is in active connection with an expander screw (24) for operation of the clamp jaws. The screw is fastened on the lower section, and extends in the longitudinal direction of the tube.
