The first hinge half contains the pivot pin for the second one, on which there are one or more protruding parallel pins at right angles to the pivot pin. These slide in grooves in a mounting block, in which they are locked by a clamping plate. The grooves extend round the pins for more than half their periphery. One or more of the grooves (15) contain a positioning component (20) for the respective pin (14) ar the end furthest from the second hinge half (4). This can consist of an axially-adjustable stop for the pin in the groove, and typically screwing into a tapping (19) in the groove end. The component can consist of a tapped bush, turning but not sliding in the groove and screwing onto the pin end, and having an external flange fitting in a peripheral groove.
