Tool inserting branch pipe in pipe under pressure

The tool inserts branch pipes with valves (10,19) in a water or gas pipe. Two saws (37,27) are driven in synchronism and cut out a length of pipe from the main one (7). These work in a sealing housing (40) clamped round the latter, and which can hinge open. The valves (10,19) and branch pipe with T-piece (16) are thrust by a further slide (38) into the gap formed, after which union nuts are tightened by spanners actuated from outside, forming an airtight joint.
