Tilt control for railway vehicle

The vehicle box (7) is acted upon by linkage rectangle (2-5) and an actively energisable adjuster (6), is incorporated between the vehicle box and bogie (), its frame (2), or an extra frame. The adjuster actuates the active tilt control of the vehicle box about an instantaneous pole (P), extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction. Pref. the adjuster is associated with a control and may be in the form of a pneumatic or hydraulic ram. Its instantaneous position is governed by the control which is automatic. The rated value of the vehicle box is affected by the control.
