The method separates an actual channel, from the connection (9) by means of a channel separation device (3). The channel is transferred via a coupling path (4) to a matrix shelf (7) equipped with a CAU card (5) where the signal on the channel is decoded. A CTL card (6) in the matrix shelf, forms a digital loop and transfers the decoded signal to a measurement instrument (8). The actual channel is separated from the connection by the actual time slot being separated. A channel with 64 kbit/s is separated from the connection with 2 Mbit/s for a measurement instrument suitable for 64 kbit/s. The separation instrument for the channel from the connection is of the type EL MI (RTM) or interceptor (RTM). The measurement instrument suitable for 64 kbit/s is preferably of the type PF-20 (RTM). |
