One field monitor (3, 9) is placed on each side of the centre between the conduits. A further field monitor (4) is placed centrally between the first two, and, when the central position is achieved indicates a zero field. The field monitors are fitted in conjunction with a current take-off (6). The third field monitor (4) has zero voltage if it is located centrally between the conductors, but when it is in an inclined position it has voltage of the same polarity as the monitor towards the side of which it is located. |
