<p>A tape cassette has a lid (10,11,12) attached to its front surface portion so as to be openable and closable, the lid comprising a front lid (10,11) and a back lid (12) and cam bosses (20) being provided on respective side portions of the back lid (12) to be guided along cam grooves (21) formed on a cassette housing (2,3) of the tape cassette so as to open and close the back lid (12) when the lid (10,11,12) is opened and closed. The tape cassette includes a retaining member (24) formed on the cassette housing in the vicinity of an upper end portion of the cam groove (21) so that, when the back lid (12) is opened, the cam boss (20) is brought into contact with the retaining member (24) in a position in which an upper portion of the cam boss (20) projects from at least a lower surface of the retaining member (24), thereby preventing the cam boss (20) from being disengaged from the cam groove (21). <IMAGE></p> |
