A bag for growing plants is tubular in shape and is adapted to be supported vertically when in use. The bag comprises an open ended tube 1 fabricated from polypropylene fibre knitted in a stockinette structure. Once filled with a growing substrate 3 the ends of the tube 1 are sealed by knotting. The stockinette bag can be readily ported 7 to facilitate both the implantation of a seed or the like and the growth of a plant. Because the bag is supported vertically it occupies only a fraction of the area of a similar sized conventional grow bag. <IMAGE> |
