<p>A metal fastener for use in attaching parts to a workpiece, for example a car bumper to a car body panel, is made in two pieces, which may be fixed together for example by a force fit, by adhesive or by welding. The fastener comprises a body (2,22,42), a thin walled (8,28,51) portion which can be expanded to set the fastener, and two spaced apart head flanges (12,14;32,34;52,54).
