1,093,117. Vibratory mechanisms. VIBRATECHNIQUES S A. April 7, 1966 [May 13, 1965], No. 15688/66. Heading F2X. A fluid-driven vibrator consists of two cylinders 1, 2 one of which is stationary and the other movable, and a single movable member 11 which divides the space between the two cylinders into two chambers 13, 14 continuously in communication with a compressed-air source and with the atmosphere, the centre of gravity of the movable cylinder 2 being displaced from its geometrical centre to form an eccentric weight. Compressed air is supplied through a duct 7 and recesses 12 in the member 11 with the chamber 13 while the chamber communicates with atmosphere through openings, such as 15, in the end plates of the vibrator casing 5. In a modification, an intermediate movable cylinder is interposed between the cylinders 1 and 2. |
