PURPOSE:To obtain a new 1,3-dioxin-4-one derivative having enhancing effects on medicines and alleviating action on adverse action. CONSTITUTION:This 1,3-dioxin-4-one derivative of formula I [R<1> is a (substituted) heteroaryl; R<2> is H or lower alkyl; R<3> and R<4> are a lower alkyl or R<3> and R<4>, together with a base carbon to which they are bound, form a carbon ring of a 3-to 8-membered ring which may contain a branched lower alkyll such as 2,2,6-trimethyl-5-(2-thienyl)-4H-1,3-dioxin-4-one. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II (X is a halogen atom) with an organometallic compound of formula III [R<11> is a (substituted)aryl or a heteroaryl; M is a group of formula IV (R<5> to R<7> each is a lower alkyll by using a specific transition metal phosphine complex [e.g. tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium (0), etc.] as a catalyst. |
