PURPOSE:To suppress liberation of iodine and to prevent corrosion of a material by adding reducing reagent to water soluble composition containing water as refrigerant and iodide as absorbent component to be used for an absorption heat pump in which a stainless steel material is used as a constituting material. CONSTITUTION:Water soluble composition containing water as refrigerant and iodide as absorbent component is used for an absorption heat pump in which a stainless steel material is used as a constituting material. In this case, reducing reagent is added to the composition. As absorbent component, iodide and nitrate are contained. Further, as the reagent, sodium hydrogensulfite is used. Thus, liberation, generation of iodine are suppressed or eliminated, and corrosion of the steel material is prevented. |
