PURPOSE:To obtain a copper-lead alloy bearing improved in corrosion resistance, particularly in corrosion resistance to sulfur corrosion, by joining a copper-lead type bearing alloy having a specific composition consisting of Ni, Sn, Pb, P, and Cu to a backing plate. CONSTITUTION:In a double-layer or multi-layer bearing consisting of a backing plate and a copper-lead type bearing alloy joined to it and further, if necessary, an overlay, the copper-lead type bearing alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, >10-20% Ni, 0.5-8% Sn, 8-30% Pb, <=0.2% P, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities. Further, it is preferable to use, as the above backing plate, a backing plate prepared by applying copper or copper-alloy plating to a steel material or to the joining surface between the steel material and the copper-lead type bearing alloy to <=10mum thickness. Moreover, as the above overlay, the one having a composition consisting of one or more kinds among 3-18% Sn, <=15% In, and 5% Cu and the balance Pb with inevitable impurities is suitable. |
