PURPOSE:To obtain a water-based ink containing a dye having specific structure as a colorant, satisfying the various characteristics required for inks used by jetting, good in fuchsine color tone, excellent in water resistance and dryability, etc., and causing little deterioration in printed images. CONSTITUTION:This ink comprises (A) a water-dispersible or water-soluble colorant, a dye of formula I [R1-R4 each is H, a 1-4C alkyl, etc.; X1 and X2 are each formula II or III (M is an alkali metal, quanternary ammonium, etc; (a) is 0-6; (b) is 1 or 2); (l) and (m) are each 0 or 1, however, being not 0 at the same time; Y is SO3<-> or COO<->], (B) water and (C) a wetting agent. If a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether acetate, etc., is added to this ink to lower its surface tension to <=50mN/m, the deterioration of printed images written therewith can be reduced significantly, therefore being preferable. Increase in its pH to >=6 is preferable from the viewpoint of its preservability. |
