摘要 PURPOSE:To rapidly converge an input/output rotational speed difference to a target rotational speed difference in the case of gear shift, etc., when fastening force control is started for a torque converter provided with a lock-up clutch, so as to improve responsiveness of the fastening force control. CONSTITUTION:In a torque converter 2, the target pressure difference of a lock-up clutch 29 is set according to an engine torque and turbine rotational speed when fastening force control is started, or when gear shift is carried out, and feed forward control is carried out so as to make a fluid pressure difference applied to the lock-up clutch 29 to quickly approach to the target pressure difference, so that the input/output rotational speed difference may be rapidly converged (follow) to the target rotational speed difference. The input/output rotational speed difference is feed-back controlled from a point of time when the input/output rotational speed difference approaches to a prescribed range in relation to the target rotational speed difference so as to maintain the input/output rotational speed difference to the target rotational speed difference. It is thus possible to improve responsiveness of fastening force control and control accuracy.
