PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-resistant thermal transfer ribbon making high speed printing possible. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant thermal transfer ribbon is obtained by coating at least the single surface of a polyester film with a polyamide resin. Therefore, the heat-resistant thermal transfer ribbon can prevent the melting and adhesion of the polyester film due to the heat of a thermal head and can correspond to an increase of printing speed.
