PURPOSE: To provide a lid which has an excellent sealing ability and which can be easily washed by forming a part of a spherical segment around the peripheral edge of a spherical segment-like lid, into a lid ring having a predetermined width, and by providing the lid ring therein with a lid having a downward convex curve-shape. CONSTITUTION: A lid 10 for a pot is a spherical segment-like circular lid having a uniform radius of curvature and made of glass in its entirety, and having a part of a spherical segment around the peripheral edge thereof, which is formed into a lid ring 12 having a width of several centimeters, and the center part inside the lid ring 12 which serves as a lid 14. The lid is downward concave, that is, it is curved toward the pot. Two synthetic resin grip tabs 16, 18 are arranged on the lid ring 12 at diametrically opposite positions of the latter, being secured to the lid 10 by means of bolts 20, 21, and being auxiliarily bonded to the spherical segment-like circular lid 10 by means of an adhesive bond 24. Two grip bars 16, 28 having a circular cross-sectional shape is extended between the grip tabs 16, 18. |
