PURPOSE:To obtain an emulsion composition excellent in lubricating properties, rust preventive properties and resistance to hard water and being very lowly toxic and safe. CONSTITUTION:This emulsion composition comprises a lubricating oil component 1 (a) comprising a liquid fatty acid ester represented by the formula: RCOOR' [wherein R is a 6-18 C alkyl; and R' is octyldodecyl, isopropyl, cetyl or butyl], a lubricating oil component 2 (b) comprising jojoba oil, a rust preventive (c) comprising oleoyl-sarcosine, an emulsifier (d) comprising a nonionic surfactant and an alkaline agent (e) comprising diethanolamine, the mixing ratio being such that (a)+(b)=5-40wt.%, (c)=0.1-10wt.%, (d)=1-15wt.%, and (e)=0.1-2wt.%, and the pH is 7-9. |
