<p>PURPOSE:To promote diffusion of energy, temperature, concentration and reduce pressure loss by composing a lattice element of two opposed triangular plates of squiare pyramids arranged on upstream and downstream sides of flow, dislocated by 90 degrees with each other. CONSTITUTION:Two opposed surfaces of a square pyramid are formed of two triangular plates 1 on an upstream side, while two opposed surfaces of a square pyramid are formed of two triangular plates 2 on a downstream side. Two pyramids are in contact with each other at their tops and dislocated by 90 degrees. Ratio between width and length of the lattice (L/B) is ranging between 1.5 and 2.0. When flow passes a rectifier composed of triangular plates 1, 2, the flow is directed obliquely in an opening surface direction of the square pyramid. Rotating component perpendicular to the flow is applied since the opening surfaces are dislocated by 90 degrees. Spiral flow is generated at a rear side of the triangular plates. As a result, large turbulance is obtained. It is thus possible to attain both low pressure loss and high mixing performance.</p> |
