<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a very small amount of malodorous components existing in a daily life by making carbonic salts of metals such as iron, chrome, nickel, etc., carried in a specific ratio on a carbonaceous material which is formed in a shape such as granule or honeycomb, carbonized, activated in an atmosphere with a specific value of steam content and cooled to a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:A carbonaceceous material is formed in a shape of granule, honeycomb or fiber, carbonized, activated in an atmosphere with a steam content of 15vol.% or lower, cooled to 30 deg.C or lower being left in the same atmosphere, then made carry 0.1-20wt.% of metal carbonates consisting of one or more kinds of metals to make an aliphatic aldehyde adsorbent consisting of metal carbonic salts added activated charcoal. Since this metal carbonic salts added activated charcoal has a high function as an oxidation catalyst, it is superior in elimination ability by oxidation of malodorous gas such as acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, etc.</p> |
