<p>PURPOSE: To achieve still more economical efficiency by replacing a metal foil used heretofore as a light barrier wall of a packaging laminate with a thin metal coating formed by vacuum vapor deposition. CONSTITUTION: A packaging laminate 10 is equipped with a silicon oxide compd. layer 17 useful as a gas barrier wall and a metal layer 13 useful as a light barrier wall and these layers 17, 13 are bonded to respective plastic layers 12, 16 useful as carriers by vacuum vapor deposition to be mutually permanently bonded by an adhesive layer 20 interposed in order to form the packaging laminate. By mutually and independently regulating the thicknesses of the barrier layers 17, 13 against gas and light, gas and light barrier wall characteristics can be arbitrarily combined and, as a result, the packaging laminate can become "tailor made" for each type of a product to be packed.</p> |
