PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling design and also to reduce the number of parts by regulating positioning relationship in the axial direction between a planetary gear and a main clutch so as to adjust a gap between clutch plates, in an electromagnet type differential motion limiting device provided with a differential motion gear composed of planetary gears. CONSTITUTION:A regulation means for regulating positioning relationship in the axial direction between a planetary gear 2 and a main clutch 1 arranged between a pilot clutch 17 and the main clutch 1 is provided for enabling gap adjustment of clutch plates 1A, 1B at the main clutch 1. The position in the axial direction of the planetary gear 2 in relation to the main clutch 1 is regulated by adjustably and fixably screwing a regulation ring 7 arranged between a rotor clutch 18 and the planetary gear 2 in the pilot clutch 17 into the rotor clutch 18.
