<p>PURPOSE:To make the face in the head part of a club visible larger than heretofore to a player and to render him a security feeling by increasing the width of the face of the lower counts in a long iron region and middle iron region. CONSTITUTION:An arbitrary club constituting an iron club set is provided with the face 1, a toe 2 and a heel 3 in its head part. The face 1 has a prescribed loft angle theta, width H and length C. In this connection, the width H of the face 1 is determined as the average value of the respective widths H1, H2 on the toe 2 side and the heel 3 side. In such a case, the width H of the face 1 is made larger with the lower counts in the long iron region and middle iron region. The area where the face 1 of the lower counts (long irons) is visible is increased. Namely, the projection area to the ground surface is increased and the face 1 is made visible large when the player takes an addressing position.</p> |
