PURPOSE:To obtain a composition, capable of maintaining the rigidity and impact resistance at high levels, excellent in transparency (contact clearness) and thereby optimal especially as a container such as food pachaging. CONSTITUTION:This highly transparent rubber-modified styrenic resin composition is obtained by polymerizing a styrenic monomer in the presence of a styrene-butadiene random copolymer having 15-40wt.% styrene content. and has the following characteristics (a) to (d): (a) Particles of the soft component in this resin composition have various characteristics such as 2.0-10mum median particle diameter, <=2.0 value of D75/D25 in the particle size distribution (D25 is the particle diameter when the cumulative weight from the smaller particle diameter in the weight distribution of the particle diameter attains 25% and D75 is the particle diameter when the cumulative weight attains 75%), 8-20 swelling degree and 10-20wt.% weight ratio. |
