PURPOSE:To enable automatic discharge to be effected by proper detection of paper clogging even from paper remains in a carrying passage since a door is opened and closed at paper carrying time. CONSTITUTION:When a staying paper sheet is discharged and carried by driving a paper feed roller 11, a paper discharge roller 16, a fixing roller or the like in order to discharge and carry the staying paper sheet staying in a paper carrying passage according to detecting results of respective paper feed sensor 18 and paper discharge sensor 19 when the fact that a main body door is put in a closed condition is detected by a switch SW, carrying time to be monitored by a controller CONT is corrected according to carrying time stored in a memory M. |
