PURPOSE: To provide a pasta cooler including a boiling water tank for cooking pasta and a means for discharging water from the tank, which can minimize occurrence of problems of starch foams and clogging of a discharge port by providing the housing therein with a screen for trapping starch granule accompanied by the water. CONSTITUTION: A pasta cooler 10 has an opened tank 12 supported in a cabinet 14, and a heat tube 32 attached with a burner 38 in a gas burner device 44 and incorporated in the tank 12. A through 53 is arranged adjacent to the tank 12, having a discharge port 64 which communicates with a screen box 76 through a short pipe 72 and a high temperature flexible hose 74. Further, the tank 12 has a bottom wall 24 formed therein with a discharge port 78 which communicates with a screen box 76 through a discharge tube 80. The screen box 76 is removably incorporated therein with a drawer formed of a porous material, and has a rear wall 154 formed therein with a discharge opening 194 connected to a discharge line 196. |
