<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize the switching period and duty factor by varying the starting period depending on the comparison result between the output voltage from an alternator and a reference voltage. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage of a battery 3 continuously sustains a level lower than a reference voltage, output from a comparator 11 goes Lo and a hold circuit 15 is not reset. Consequently, when the hold circuit 15 is once set by a periodic clock CK2, that state is sustained. In other words, an exciting transistor 16 is conducted and the output of a generator 2 increases. When the voltage of the battery 3 is sustained continuously at a level higher than the reference voltage, a capacitor 13 is charged and the hold circuit 15 is reset to interrupt the exciting transistor 16. When the hold circuit 15 is reset, a transistor 20 is conducted and the voltage of the capacitor 13 increases again. Consequently, the duty of Hi signal at the Q output of the hold circuit 15 decreases to cause decrease of the excitation duty of the exciting transistor 16 thus decreasing the output from the generator 2.</p> |
