PURPOSE:To extent the effective part in a longitudinal direction of a reflection area and to extend the focus detecting area of a focus detecting device by forming a reflecting surface being a direct submirror on a submirror base member. CONSTITUTION:In a submirror unit 10, a reflection plate 10b being the direct submirror is formed on a submirror receiving plate (submirror base member) 10a. The reflecting surface 10b is molded so as to protrude from the surface of the submirror receiving plate 10a. The cracking and chipping of the edge of the submirror do not occur, so that it is unnecessary that the space is provided on the edge of the submirror area (reflection area). Therefore, the submirror area is extended while suppressing that the scale of the submirror unit 10 is made large. Thus, plural focus detection areas is easily provided especially in the vertical direction of a field in the focus detecting device 40. |
