PURPOSE:To prevent a person from being wakeful due to feeling hot and feeling chilly by controlling the revolution speed of an indoor fan according to the operating rate of a compressor while the cooling operation of an air conditioner is being performed by using a turning-off timer. CONSTITUTION:A setting part 2 is set to a turn-off timer operation. A turning- off timer operation program is read out from a memory part 3 by means of an indoor control unit 1, and a control signal is outputted to an outdoor control unit 7 so as to start the operation of a compressor 8. A timer 4 starts time counting at the start of the operation. A compressor operation rate calculating unit 6 calculates the operation rate of the compressor 8 for last 30 minutes at every elapse of 30 minutes. When the operation rate is less than a specified rate, the indoor fan 5 supplies air at a reduced revolution speed. When the operation rate of the compressor is not less than the specified rate, the indoor fan 5 supplies the air at a specified revolution speed.
