PURPOSE:To make efficient inspection possible to be performed corresponding to an object to be measured by continuously regulating generating transmission pulse by means of voltage applied to a voltage-frequency conversion circuit. CONSTITUTION:A variable resistor 20 directly controls an operating current in a voltage-frequency conversion circuit 8. At first, the variable resistor 20 is regulated and set to be a proper measurement frequency in accordance with the size of an object to be inspected 10. Thereby, an echo receiving signal after a transmission pulse is shown on an osciloscope 5, minutely regulated furthermore, the echo receiving signal after the transmission pulse in the next measurement cycle is shown on the same scope. The measurement frequency is regulated with the variable resistor 20 so that the transmission pulse may be positioned after multiple echoes. Accordingly regulation is performed for the proper measurement frequency in response to the size and contents of the object to be inspected as the generation of delay echoes of a measurement image is observed. |
