PURPOSE:To contrive the reduction of faulty wiring checking time by a method wherein an outdoor unit is operated upon setting check mode while at least more than two sets or a plurality of indoor units are operated simultaneously and repeatedly in a given order by a given number of times. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerating circuit is constituted of an outdoor unit R, provided with a compressor 10 and an outdoor heat exchanger, and a plurality of indoor units A, B, C, D, provided with indoor heat exchangers 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d respectively and connected to the outdoor unit R. The outdoor unit R is operated by a check mode setting means provided in the outdoor unit R. The flow of refrigerant is detected by temperature sensors 31, 32 or the like, which are provided in respective indoor units A, B, C, D or a refrigerant branching unit. Upon setting a check mode, the outdoor unit R is operated and, simultaneously, at least two sets or more or a plurality of indoor units A, B, C, D are operated simultaneously and repeatedly in a given order by a given number of times.
