PURPOSE:To obtain an electronic equipment and an electronic clock capable of automatically turning on an electroluminescence element without using an external input element. CONSTITUTION:An electroluminescence operation selecting circuit 112 selecting whether to output the driving or stopping signal of the electoluminescence element 111 or not in a specified timing, or whether to output an instructing signal or a stopping signal for the capacitance measuring of the electroluminescence element 111 to a capacitance measuring circuit 110 or not is provided; the capacitance change of the electroluminescence element 111 is measured; whether to turn on the electroluminescence element 111 or not is decided; and the electroluminescence element 111 is turned on in the case of dark circumference. The electroluminescence element 111 irradiates a display part 105. |
