PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency by quickly selecting the half rate mode or the full rate mode of a mobile telephone exchange in the digital mobile telephone system. CONSTITUTION:A voice processing unit 1 connecting to a digital mobile telephone exchange 12 through an incoming highway 7 and an outgoing highway 5 with a monitor control signal 9 and to a MODEM 13 through an incoming highway 8 and an outgoing highway 6 has a 1st mode 3 executing the full rate voice processing, a 2nd mode 2 executing the half rate voice processing and is provided with a changeover section 4 selecting the full rate mode 3 or the half rate mode 2. Then the changeover section 4 selects the 1st mode 3 or the 2nd mode 2 according to the monitor control signal 9 from the digital mobile telephone exchange 12. |
