<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the surface wave line with new configuration suitable for sensing an object by twisting dielectric materials or dielectric fibers with less high frequency loss at a periodic pitch like a lope and arranging a conductor to the inside or the outside at a pitch in harmony with the dielectric fiber pitch. CONSTITUTION:The surface wave line 1 is formed by forming plural fiber bundles 2 through the use of a dielectric material such as a plastic with less high frequency loss, twisting them in spiral as a lope and arranging a conductor 3 in spiral along the fiber bundles 2 at a similar pitch. Thus, the surface wave line 1 having the equal tensile strength and flexibility as those of a conventional lop is obtained and used in a diversified forms. Since the conductor 3 is arranged in spiral and has a pitch structure, a surface wave is propagated efficiently by mating the pitch structure with a frequency of the surface wave.</p> |
