The battery-, or mains-operated electric mixer has an incorporated light source for illuminating mixing point. The light source uses on or more lamps and has a hemispherical or slit-shaped configuration. Pref. the light source is provided as a separate attachment fitted to the hand mixer, which can be operated from a rechargeable electric battery.
