MAGNETIC, TONER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic toner excellent in electrostatic charge characteristics even at a high humidity and excellent in stability after it is allowed to stand over a long period of time, to obtain a process cartridge with the magnetic toner and to provide an image forming method using the magnetic toner. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic toner contains at least a bonding resin and magnetic iron oxide and has <=13.5mum weight average particle diameter. In the particle size distribution of this magnetic toner, the content of magnetic toner particles each having >=12.7mum particle diameter is <=50wt.%. The magnetic iron oxide contains 0.4-2.0wt.% elemental silicon basing on the amt. of elemental iron and the atomic ratio of Fe to Si in the outermost surface of the magnetic iron oxide is 1.2-4.0.
