<p>PURPOSE:To provide an on-chip DMAC which promptly processes peripheral and host data transfer requests, provides a host interface and is incorporated in a DSP chip and a single chip DSP where the DMAC is incorporated. CONSTITUTION:As the resouces for which the memory map of a DSP 1100 is performed, an on-chip program memory 1400, an on-chip data memory 1900, an on-chip register, and the external memory and the peripheral device for which memory maps are performed are included. A DMAC 3000 has an address register and a repetition frequency register for processing two interruption data transfers separately in addition to its original data transfer. The repetition frequency register and the address register share each of a subtracter and an address calculation circuit. The DMAC has an exclusive interruption controller processing the interruption from a host computer 1200 and the peripheral device.</p> |
