<p>PURPOSE:To incinerate waste and to melt ash without storing harmful substance such as mercury, etc., in a system by introducing part of high temperature gas to be exhausted from an ash melting furnace to an incinerator, removing volatile harmful substance from the other part and discharge it out of the system. CONSTITUTION:When ash is collected by a bag filter 6 from a refuse incinerator 2, 90% or more of mercury in exhaust smoke is collected. The collected ash is conveyed to an ash melting and solidifying furnace 19 via a relay hopper 17 having a valve 16 and an ejector 43. The ash conveyed to the furnace 19 is raised at its temperature and melted by a high temperature flame of a heavy oil burner 20, and dropped to a slag hopper 22. High temperature combustion gas from the furnace 19 is introduced into the incinerator 2 via a high temperature flue 39. A part of combustion gas of the furnace 19 is cooled to a necessary temperature by a small-sized gas cooler 37, then collected at volatile harmful substance via an exhaust smoke purifier 38, and discharged out of a system via a duct 34.</p> |
