<p>PURPOSE: To provide a gas-cooled electrical machine which can markedly equalize the cooling action, without intervening into the characteristic structure of a machine. CONSTITUTION: A stack 9 of a stator is constituted of individual section stacked plates which are placed apart from one another with space webs, and an intermediate chamber between adjacent two stacks forms a cooling slit extending in the radial direction. Moreover, these cooling slits leads an air gap 21 of a machine to the chamber lying between the periphery of the stator stack and the housing, and these chambers have a cooling chamber 25 upon which cold cooling gas hit. Heating gas chambers 23 and 24 in which heated cooling gas flows outward in the radial direction from the cooling slits, and the heating gas chamber is connected to a cooler 18, and a cooling gas supply means 15 and a cooling gas guide device 4 lead the cooling gas into a cooling gas chamber as the cooling gas. Then, they are provided at both ends of the machine which sucks the heated cooling gas again from the heating gas chamber, and a throttle-adjusting mechanism 29 is provided between the heating gas chamber and the cooler 18, at a discharge cross section 26 of the heating gas chamber 23 on a terminal side.</p> |
