PURPOSE:To inexpensively provide a scanning optical device whose structure is not complicated and which is constituted so that high resolution is obtained. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a semiconductor laser 1 being a light source, a polygon mirror 3 being a deflector for executing the deflection and the scanning of luminous flux from the laser 1, a photoreceptor 5 for forming an image and a condensing lens 4 being a condensing means for condensing the luminous flux from the laser 1 on the photoreceptor 5. Besides, a diaphragm 6 for shielding one part of the luminous flux including the center thereof is provided between the laser 1 and the mirror 3. By irradiating the photoreceptor 5 with the luminous flux whose center part is omitted and exposing it, the luminous flux is converged to a fine spot and stable exposure it obtained. |
