PURPOSE:To sufficiently secure radiation efficiency from an acoustic lens even to ultrasonic waves having a wide frequency band. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave production part for radiating ultrasonic waves is provided at one end of an acoustic lens 1, a concave lens part 9 for radiating the ultrasonic wave so that the ultrasonic wave for propagating in the acoustic lens may be converged at a specified position outside the acoustic lens 1 is formed at the other end of the acoustic lens 1, an intermediate layer 20 is formed between the acoustic lens 1 and an acoustic matching layer 10 in the ultrasonic probe forming the acoustic matching layer 10 in which acoustic impedance is different from the acoustic lens 1 on the concave face of a concave lens part 9 and the acoustic impedance of the intermediate layer 20 is shaped to be gradually transferred from one hand acoustic impedance to the other hand acoustic impedance. |
