PURPOSE:To provide an optical device which is used for a palm shape photographing device which has a small size and on which diffused external light is hardly made incident. CONSTITUTION:The light made incident on a prism 14 from an illuminating lamp 21 through the illuminating light incident surface 25 of the prism 14 is totally reflected by the slope 24 of the prism 14 and illuminates a palm closely adhered to the contacting surface 23 of the prism 14 as an object to be inspected. The picture light of the palm is emitted toward a camera 22 through the slope 24. When the palm does not exist on the contacting surface 23 as the object to be inspected, the light from the lamp 21 is absorbed into an absorbing body 26 arranged at a prescribed distance from the slope 24 after the light is reflected inward by the surface 23. |
