<p>A method for aborting an embryo having an allantois and a chorion in a mammal is described. An agent for inhibiting interaction between a first cell surface adhesion receptor and a second cell surface adhesion receptor or an extracellular matrix molecule is provided. The agent is administered to cause this inhibition to occur. This inhibition can result in inhibiting attachment of the allantois to the chorion so as to prevent proper formation of a placenta, and thereby cause abortion of the embryo.</p> |
