This invention relates to an engine with reciprocating coupling pistons and with one cam for each cylinder group, in wich the two coupling pistons arranged at an angle with each other are made moving up and down alternately by the oscillating rod coupling mechanism, or the two coaxially arranged pistons are made reciprocating in the same direction by a coupling rod, so that the rollers mounted in the shirts of the pistons can abut against the curved surface of the cam fixed on the main shaft and the function of transmission of the reciprocation of pistons into the rotation of the main shaft can be obtained. Compared with the double-cam I.C.E. produced by BCDS Corp., the present invention omits the internal cam and simplifies the structures of the pistons, and it has advantages of compact construction, doubled output torque and simple reduction transmission mated thereto.
