<p>A bumper rail of safety fences consists of a web. The web is formed of one tubular part and one U-shaped beam part. The flanges of the U-shaped beam part are directed towards the side of the tubular part. Such a bumper rail is manufactured by tack welding, whereby it is a risk for ferrous corrosion at places where it is no welding between the tubular part and the U-shaped beam part. In order to avoid this it is suggested that the whole web is manufactured from band steel in one piece in a roller mill. Supporting means are arranged between the longitudinal edges of the U-flanges.</p> |
