<p>The present invention relates to a process whereby it is possible to optimize the kinetics of solid-state oxidative biotransformations by preparing the biomass in the following way. The solid substrate is pulverized and mixed thoroughly with the inoculum at ambient temperature and in the presence of air to the point of saturation, with the moisture content of the mixture being adjusted if necessary with liquid substrates. The resulting biomass is agglomerated into small pieces and then goes on to the biotransformation stage. This method of preparing the biomass drastically reduces the biotransformation times by comparison with those of biomasses of identical composition prepared by conventional processes, and yields a new, perfectly homogeneous biomass.</p> |
