The tool is produced with two branches (2a , 2b), which are each formed from a blade (3a , 3b) and a handle (4a , 4b), each of which takes up roughly half the length of the branch. The branches are linked in a scissor type arrangement with the link (5) close to the end of the blade section of the branch. The pivot divides each blade into a short section (6), beyond the pivot, and a longer section (7), which carries a cutting edge (8) in such a way that the two edges are facing outwards when the tool is opened up to form a V-shape, with the short section of the blades fitting into the neck (20) of the container (22).
