The anti-theft device comprises two principal pieces, a stirrup and a movable locking rod. The stirrup fits on the scooter brake disc and is locked by a screw. Then the movable rod is lowered in a hole in a slot in the ridge of the stirrup and is anchored in the fork tube of the scooter. The stirrup consists of a U-section triangular piece (1) with a shorter part on the side of the locking boss (5). Towards the bottom of this shortest part, on its interior width, is an incline (6) of 25 deg. which facilitates passage of the disc brake. Inside the triangular piece is housed a movable jaw plate (2) which is suspended by two axles (3). At the centre of the cylindrical boss, and on the shortest path, is a threaded hole where the locking screw (4) fastens the jaw plate against the disc brake. A bored housing (7) in the boss has a groove (8) where the locking screw is housed.
